Sanzaru Games Race #8 - Driver’s Eying Championships
Honda HPD 250 to be the Feature Race
With only two races left in the 2017 season, Race #8 will be the key race for many drivers to get them into a top three Series position for the Championship. A few classes are still very close and these classes will provide some tense racing this coming weekend. The track configuration for Race #8 will be the tough Reverse Sprint track with the HPD CRF 250 shifters being the featured class.
2016 Class Champion Richard Stock is leading the HPD CRF 250 class but 2015 Class Champion Ori Della Penna is within reach of overtaking Stock if the Sparks, Nevada driver were to have a bad day.
Classes where there are some tight point battles: Kid Kart has 5 drivers in the mix with Casey Moyer leading Christian Cameron and last month’s winner Andrew Freire; in Junior Rotax, Aiden O’Neill holds the class lead, but a couple of wins by Nick Persing would put him in a strong position to overtake Aiden with four other drivers battling for the 3rd place position in the championship; in 80 Masters, Charles Hastings is holding an unsurmountable lead, but there are 4 drivers still battling for the final two end of year award positions; the 125 shifters classes have tight battles for the class championships with Zach Pettinicchi leading Kyle Loh in Pro Stock and Patrick O’Neill leading Kevin Woods in Stock Honda Masters; an in Micro Max, Ryan Persing and Ayrton Tyler have strong positions in the top two spots in the class, but four drivers are still battling for the final 3 positions in the championship.
Kid Karts will again be featured on the Saturday Practice day with five sessions of practice and racing.
